Which tool should I use?
If you only need the government registration data (owner, insurance, fitness, tax, PUCC, loan / blacklist status, and pending challans), Vahan Verify at ₹49 is enough. If you are shortlisting a specific car to buy and want the AI to analyse its photos, check model-specific failure points, and generate seller questions — pay ₹249 for AI Vahan Inspection.
Where does the data come from?
All registry and challan data is retrieved via our regulated API partner SurePASS, which is authorised to pull from the government VAHAN database and the all-India traffic challan system. AI photo analysis uses a commercial computer-vision model. Model-specific knowledge is researched in real time from public Indian owner forums and auto journalism.
Do you store my report or photos?
No. The report is rendered in your browser, you download the PDF, and the server-side copy is deleted when you leave the page. For AI Vahan Inspection, uploaded photos are sent to our image CDN temporarily, processed by the AI, and deleted. We do not retain them. We store only transaction metadata (payment ID, report type, amount) for support and accounting.
How is this different from a physical car inspection?
A physical inspection sends a technician to the seller — typically ₹1,499+, takes 2–5 days to schedule, and coverage depends on the service provider. Vahan Check is digital, costs ₹49–₹249, and delivers instantly everywhere in India. It is designed as a first-pass filter before you commit to a physical inspection on your final shortlisted car — not as a replacement for it.

A Vahan Verify PDF has five numbered sections: Vehicle identity, Ownership & address, Legal status, Insurance/Fitness/Tax/PUCC, Traffic challans — plus the full legal disclaimer on the final page. AI Vahan Inspection has ten numbered sections — everything from Vahan Verify plus AI visual assessment (one page per photo), model-specific known issues, 12 seller questions, Do's & Don'ts, and a negotiation cheatsheet.
What's the refund policy?
If the report generation fails on our end (e.g., VAHAN API is unavailable) and no report was rendered, we auto-refund within 5 business days. Once a report is successfully generated and displayed, it is non-refundable — download the PDF before closing the tab. If you believe any factual data is wrong, contact support@vahanbazaar.in within 7 days for correction or refund. See Refund Policy for the full table.
Can I use Vahan Check on my own car?
Yes — many owners use it to audit their own RC status before selling, confirm there are no surprise challans, and verify insurance and PUCC expiry dates. You own the data on your own registration, so this is a legitimate self-check use case.
Is the report legally binding?
No. The report is informational and reflects what the government database and AI analysis say at the moment of generation. It is not a legal certificate, not a warranty of vehicle condition, and not a substitute for a physical mechanical inspection or a title search by a licensed advocate. The final page of every PDF contains a full 11-paragraph disclaimer with the liability cap, indemnity, and governing-law clauses.
Do I need to sign in?
Yes — a one-time WhatsApp OTP login. We need a phone number for the Razorpay receipt, refund processing, and to bind the transaction to an identity for fraud prevention. We do not spam the number.
