Understanding our services and refund terms

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all transactions made on vahanbazaar.in. By using our Platform and making a payment, you agree to the terms outlined below. This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

About Our Paid Services

VahanBazaar.in is a vehicle marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. We offer the following paid services:

Vehicle Verification

When a seller lists a vehicle, we verify the Registration Certificate (RC) and registration number using AI-powered OCR. This auto-verification is free of charge. If auto-verification fails, sellers can opt for manual review by our team for a one-time fee of ₹99.

Buyer Contact Plans (Seller Contact Access)

Buyers can purchase contact credit plans to view seller phone numbers for vehicles they are interested in. Each contact reveal uses one credit from the buyer's plan balance. We also offer 5 free welcome credits to new users.

Vahan Check Tools (Vahan Verify, AI Vahan Inspection)

Two standalone paid tools under /buyer-tools/: Vahan Verify (₹49) delivers full RC data with challan status; AI Vahan Inspection (₹249) adds AI photo analysis, model-specific known issues, and inspection questions.

Refund Policy

We believe in a fair and transparent refund policy. Refund eligibility depends on the scenario:

*Exception — Invalid Contact Number: If a buyer reveals a seller's contact number and the number is verified as invalid, no longer in service, or does not belong to the listed seller due to a platform error, VahanBazaar will restore the credit to the buyer's account or provide a refund for that specific reveal. To report an invalid number, contact us within 7 days of the reveal with the listing details and evidence (e.g., screenshot of the number being unreachable).

*Vahan Check Tools — Data Correction Window: If you believe any factual data in a generated Vahan Verify or AI Vahan Inspection report is incorrect (for example, a mismatched owner name or an outdated insurance date), please contact support@vahanbazaar.in within 7 days of report generation with your report receipt ID. We will investigate with our data provider (SurePASS) and, at our discretion, either re-issue the corrected report at no extra charge or refund the fee if the error is confirmed to be on our end. After the 7-day window, reports are deemed accepted as rendered. Errors in the underlying government VAHAN database (which we do not control) are outside the scope of this remedy.

Cancellation Policy

Since our services are instant and digital in nature, cancellation is not possible once a service has been delivered:

  • Contact number reveals cannot be reversed once the seller's number has been displayed to the buyer, as the digital service has been fully consumed.
  • Verification requests cannot be cancelled once submitted, as the process begins and completes immediately.

However, if you have purchased a credit plan and have not used any credits, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase.

Refund Process

How to request a refund:

  • Send us an email at support@vahanbazaar.in or use the Contact Us form on our website.
  • Include your registered phone number, transaction details, and reason for the refund request.
  • Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days.

Refund timeline: Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

Our Commitment to Fairness

We believe in being upfront about our pricing and terms:

  • All fees and plan details are clearly displayed before any payment is initiated.
  • Buyers are shown a clear confirmation screen with the amount and terms before purchase.
  • We explain exactly what the buyer will receive (seller's contact number) before each credit is used.
  • No hidden charges or surprise fees at any stage.
  • All seller phone numbers are verified via WhatsApp OTP, ensuring buyers always receive authentic contact details.

Dispute Resolution

If you have any concerns about a transaction or our services, we encourage you to reach out to us. We are committed to resolving all genuine issues:

  • If a technical error prevented you from receiving the service you paid for (e.g., seller number was not displayed after using a credit), we will resolve the issue by providing the service or refunding the credit.
  • In case of duplicate charges caused by a system error, we will issue a full refund for the extra charge within 5–7 business days.
  • Unauthorized transactions will be investigated and resolved appropriately.
